Low fuel consumption (1.4 l /h or 0.3 Gal/h, usually the heater needs to work about 1h to heat up the coolant up to 75ºC, or 150ºF prior to engine start.

The truck heater is meant to preheat the engine up to operating temperature prior starting in cold weather. This will reduce drastically the stress on starter, batteries, and internal components of the engine. Even at very low temperatures, the engine may be shut down, save the fuel and be sure that it will turn on easily after the coolant is heated up. It will reduce the cold weather idling time up to 95%. Note: the heater doesn’t heat up the fuel so in order to prevent gelling up, Antigel treatment is required.

 The engine heater will be very effective in combination with Bunk Heater (Cab heater), which will heat up the cab and sleeper.
